School quilt Project

Started a group quilt with my  nine year old daughter Isobel's class on Friday, what a wonderful lively bunch. We're going to enter the Festival of Quilts Schools competition and they're all very excited.

We started by showing some of my quilts and letting the kids have a good look and feel of them. then a powerpoint explaining the Festival and competition that I had helped Isobel prepare. The theme is "in the garden" so we looked at crazy flowers and talked about ideas.

We're going to make sure that everyone's name gets included on the back of the quilt, so I prepared some fabric with bondaweb and they all drew their hands, signed them and coloured then in.

We're going to be dyeing some fabric next week for our flowers and sketching out some ideas, can't wait.
