Rang a 3 Quilt Project day ous

Back for my second session with Rang a 3 yesterday and it was time to dye.
It was also World Book Day celebrations at the school with students and teachers alike putting on a great display of characters from their favourite books.
Three adults and 29 students and only three wipes were needed for this dyeing project, you can't beat the plastic bags!! Thanks to muinteoir Deidre and Claire, one of the mums for all their help and off course Isobel, the best assistant anyone could even have ( my 9 year old daughter and official photographer)

The class were amazing at mixing the colours and kept busy while waiting their turn by working on sketches of their flower drawings.

Many hands make light work, we just need to get the rinsing done tomorrow, my least favourite part of the process, but hey no pain no gain.

Dyeing the background, the class voted  on one design idea, which is rinsed and on the line drying as I type.
Next week it's bonding time, more design work and some computer fun.
