Been away for awhile!
Can't believe it's been so long since I posted anything!!
August, that's shameful!
Trying to remember what I've been up too!
Got to visit Lisbon is Portugal for a few days at the end of August with my old friend Jane, beautiful place, but tore some pigments in my ankle and ending up apartment bound for the lst two day, do=id get some sewing done though.
Visited Scotland for the first time in September, saw some amazing art there, spoke at the Scottish Gathering of the Guilds and helped out in an amazing workshop given by Ann Hill:
see if you can spot me in the last photo, it's a kind of where's wally!
Taught at three Knit and Stitch shows, the Ally Pally in London, the RDS in Dublin and in Harrogate:
Unicorn mask I got for Isobel while teaching at Ally Pally, some students work and my quilt in Irish Patchwork Society exhibition at the RDS.
Started a night class on Tuesday evenings teaching Patchwork and Quilting techniques;
Foundation piecing, EPP english paper piecing, more foundation piecing and
transfer printing.
Knitted a rug for me Da using some 24mm needles and two kilos of wool, finished some cushions, started some hand piecing projects, quilted some quilts on the long arm for some customers, made some clothes and tried to catch up on a collective art project. All before Christmas.
Set up a Facebook page St. Stephen's day for a collective Dear Jane project and have been working on that since the new year, starting to assemble the rows this week, on mid term, yipee!
Oh yeah, got my Voyage quilts for 2015 finished and off in the post early January:
So I think that's me up to date more or less. Making myself a promise to try and blog weekly, only time will tell if I can manage to juggle all the bits I would like too.
