Summer Hols!!

Finally starting to slow down and take a break!! Takes awhile.
Some of the pieces I've been working on are for groups and can't be shown yet.
I've also been getting kits ready for classes I'm teaching at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham in a couple of weeks!

This is a quilt I started for another exhibition, didn't read the entry form properly (typical) so couldn't enter it!! but it will be in Birmingham. Can't wait to see it hanging on a wall, cause i have nowhere big enough to hang it!! 10,000 squares and three happy skull hearts!

This is a group textile piece I worked on as part of a European Project. Seven partners across Europe.

We decided on the shape as a group and I got each partner to make a top, which I then quilted and finished. The challenging part was getting all the pieces onto a backdrop so they could all be removed  and returned to each partner after the exhibition and conference! Lets hope its still together.

Part of an Artist in School Residency with 6th Class. This was used as the backdrop to the graduation ceremony and will hang in the school building.

Playing with some ideas for a piece that's going to as exhibition in Taiwan next year as part of a group exhibition.

Fused fabric picture sample, minus the stitching for a class in Birmingham soon.

Working on a commission at the moment, a memory quilt for a 60th Birthday celebration, so lots more photo transfer!!
