More Kids Quilts

These quilts are about five years old, again playing with photo transfer.

The centre panel is foundation pieced, one of my favourite techniques

and was made as a sample for my students.

I was taught the technique by Ann Bradshaw, a friend of mine, the first piece I attempted was

a simple mariners compass which was terrible because I was using cartridge paper for my patterns, which is really awkward to use.

But then Ann introduced me to "Magic Papers" which changed my whole opinion of the technique and I went on to make loads of Foundation Pieced Quilts.
