Workshop with Octagon Quilters

Had a wonderful day yesterday in Westport with the Octagon Quilters, a wonderful welcoming and friendly group of ladies.
We had a "Play Day" and I think they were all a bit worried about what we were going to be doing but I didn't want to send them images as I was afraid everyone would work from the same theme. i wanted them to relax a little and just enjoy playing with fabric and paper to create a collage.
And the results certainly were very different, reflecting each personality.

We worked in a wonderful room, huge with plenty of space for everyone.

Thought I had taken some images of the work all together at the end of the day but must have been imagining it!!
Here are some I took during the day.

Love the colours and the movement in this

and the colours, so vibrant

The mixture of experienced and new quilters was wonderful to watch and the sharing of supplies, advise and compliments was heart warming to see.

Some stitched, some drew and some did both!

And some more pieces, love the variety.
The wonderful thing about having snall like broadband is that I have everything packed away from workshop yesterday, the washing on, some journal pages started and ready for some embellishment and the fire cleaned out, all while these pictures were uploading!!!
